When a standard drill cannot provide the required tool life, hole quality or machining stability, PRONIXT can develop a dedicated solid carbide drill around the actual workpiece material and cutting conditions. Our factory evaluates the material grade and hardness, hole diameter and depth, tolerance requirements, machine rigidity, coolant supply and production target. Based on this information, we select the suitable carbide grade, point and flute geometry, edge preparation, manufacturing process and coating system for the application.

Material Evaluation Workpiece grade, hardness and machinability are reviewed before tool design.
Carbide & Geometry Selection Carbide grade, point angle, flute form and cutting-edge preparation are application-specific.
Process & Coating Matching Grinding process and coating are selected according to wear, heat and chip-control requirements.
Information Required Provide material, hardness, hole size and depth, tolerance, coolant and machine information.
