Technical Questions

Hexagonal Rotary Broach FAQ

Can these broaches be used on Swiss-type lathes?

Yes. They are suitable for Swiss-type and conventional CNC lathes when used with a compatible rotary broaching holder and a correctly prepared workpiece.

Are non-standard hex sizes available?

Yes. Custom AF dimensions, profile lengths and other requirements can be evaluated according to the drawing and machining application.

How should the pilot hole be prepared?

The pilot-hole diameter, depth and lead chamfer must match the profile size, broaching depth and workpiece material. These details are confirmed during application review.

Which information is most important for a quotation?

The finished hex size, tolerance, broaching depth, material, machine setup, quantity and part drawing provide the best basis for selection and pricing.
